2. Basic Shape for a Bigger House
Materials:
- Cardboard box.
- An extra piece of cardboard, the same length and width as the top of the box.
- White copy paper (enough to cover the house before painting)
- Elmer´s Glue−All (or similar) and glue brush.
- Masking tape and Scissors.
- Black felt tip pen.
- Rule (use for holding down the paper firmly, whilst tearing into strips along the grain).
- Coloured Acrylic paints if required, and paint brushes .
Although this project has two pages of step by step instructions, the IDEA of making the house is the most important thing. Basically all that is required is a cardboard box of your choice, plus some good masking tape, scissors, acrylic paints and IMAGINATION!
The instructions are there only as a guide.
Design your own house and how wonderful that will be! Why not make a massive house with lots of chimneys, lots of fancy windows, brightly painted doors, even make furniture from small boxes and tubes!
Don’t forget to have little cats at the windows and create a beautiful garden with a bright green lawn, paths and flower/vegetable beds. Have tiny colourful clothes on a washing line and perhaps a pond! Make the house of your dreams!
